Program Hours:
Psychiatric evaluations and medication management services are provided 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Emergency services are offered 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Psychiatric Evaluations
The Center's psychiatric staff conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess a person's need for medications. The psychiatric staff work in collaboration with local physicians who are primary providers for Center clients.
Medication Management
Psychiatric services are routinely available for prescriptions, adjustment and monitoring of psychotropic medication. Clients are educated in proper medication usage, intended benefits and adverse effects of medications, and on the importance of consistency in taking medications to control the symptoms of mental illness. |

The Center for Mental Health is a private, non-profit corporation. Founded in 1964, the Center has been providing mental health and substance abuse services to the people of Western Colorado for over 40 years. Offered services cover the 93,440 residents of the six-county area of Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, Ouray, and San Miguel with facilities located in Montrose, Delta, Gunnison, Norwood and Telluride.
In addition to private clients, The Center for Mental Health is the provider of Medicaid mental health and substance abuse services for its six-county service area. In addition, the Center has contracts for specific services with the state, cities, counties, departments of social services, nursing homes, hospitals and businesses throughout the area. |
