Program Description/Service Offered:

Intensive Outpatient Services for Adults
The IOP program targets adults with substance abuse dependency problems. It is an 11-month program with a three phases. Family involvement is an important part of the treatment process.

Enhanced Outpatient Services for Adults and Adolescents
This special program is designed to treat adults and adolescents with substance abuse problems. The group focus is on education and therapy around substance abuse issues, life skills training, and relationship issues.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy allows the client the opportunity to explore and resolve personal problems in a one-to-one setting. The approach is usually intensive, brief, problem specific, with short-term goals, such as problem resolution, decision making or reducing the effects of a symptom.

Case Management Services
Case management services are provided to help clients access other community support systems and to coordinate treatment services. An assessment helps determine what community resources the client needs. Case management services are provided through linkage, advocacy, service planning, follow-up, monitoring, and crisis management.

Substance Abuse Evaluations
A Substance Abuse Evaluation is a comprehensive service that includes additional screening tools and contacts with family members, employers, and/or others who can provide additional information to allow staff to make the best possible recommendations. The evaluation report includes detail about the individual's history, testing results, diagnostic profile, and treatment recommendations.

Consultation and Education
Center staff are available to provide consultation with schools, social services, juvenile diversion, law enforcement, foster parents, nursing homes, and other members of the human service community regarding individual cases, as well as general mental health issues and topics. Education is offered through speaking engagements, in-service presentations, and workshops.

Strategies for Self-Improvement and Change
The SSIC program is a 52-week, three-phase treatment program for clients with substance abuse issues and involvement in the criminal justice system. This special program utilizes patches to screen for drug use, and includes extensive case management services for persons involved in the court sys
tem.
