Program Hours

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. five days a week for therapy sessions. However, emergency services are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

 
Program Description/Service Offered:    

Individual Therapy :
Individual therapy allows the client the opportunity to explore and resolve personal problems in a one-to-one setting. The approach is usually intensive, brief, problem specific, with short-term goals, such as problem resolution, decision making or reducing the effects of a symptom. Outcomes are based on measurable goals.

Eligibility Requirements:      

 The Center for Mental Health is a private, non-profit corporation. Founded in 1964, the Center has been providing mental health and substance abuse services to the people of Western Colorado for over 40 years. Offered services cover the 93,440 residents of the six-county area of Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, Ouray, and San Miguel with facilities located in Montrose, Delta, Gunnison, Norwood and Telluride.

In addition to private clients, The Center for Mental Health is the provider of Medicaid mental health services for its six-county service area. In addition, the Center has contracts for specific services with the state, cities, counties, departments of social services, nursing homes, hospitals and businesses throughout the area.
